The Biostatistics End of the Year Lightning Talk Session is an annual event sponsored by CTML. The event is an opportunity for graduate student researchers to showcase their work from the past year and will be attended by multiple Biostatistics faculty. The first session was held on April 28th, 2023. It is a great opportunity to practice quickly summarizing your research, see research other students are working on, and network with other members of the biostatistics department. We strongly reccomeend all CTML GSR’s present their work at this session.

Each lightning talk will be a (3) three-minute timed talk (with two minutes of Q&A), and will focus on the objectives and significance of an ongoing or completed research project. The presentations will also highlight the contributions to statistical practice that have been made through the research. A maximum of 4 slides are permitted (roughly 1 minute per slide).

If you have any questions regarding content, please reach out to your faculty supervisor. For all other questions and/or concerns contact Christina Da Silva - [email protected] or Andrew Mertens [email protected].
